Postgraduate Students

The School of Clinical Medicine aims to provide leadership in education, discovery and healthcare and hopes to achieve this through; inspirational teaching and training, outstanding basic and clinical research and integration of these to improve medical practice for both individual patients and the population.
Within the School of Clinical Medicine there are a large number of specialised Departments. When a postgraduate student joins one of these Departments, they will become both a member of their Department, the School of Clinical Medicine and a College. Administrative oversight of postgraduate student activity within the School of Clinical Medicine is undertaken by the Postgraduate Education and Clinical Academic Training (PECAT) Team. Whilst the Faculties of Clinical Medicine and Veterinary Medicine entrust the oversight of their postgraduate programmes to a Degree Committee. Find out more about the Degree Committee here.
