Key Deadlines

We advise applicants to apply as early as possible to their chosen postgraduate course, and to familiarise themselves with any funding deadlines.

MRC DTP iCASE Programme	All students	18 October 2022	2^nd December 2022 at 12noon (GMT)
NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program (PhD)	U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident	1 August 2022	Applications for 2023 admission will open 1 August 2022. Applicants must submit the program application by 1 December 1 2022 for admission consideration; and you must also apply, separately, for a Cambridge PhD course (see course directory) by May 2023.
Experimental Medicine Initiative (EMI)	Medically qualified clinicians	Recruitment only takes place when funding for a PhD studentship is available.	The application deadline is linked to the start date of the PhD.

PhD programmes within Departments of the Clinical School	All students	Early September	If you would like to be considered for financial support and scholarships via the University of Cambridge, you must make sure your application is submitted by the University funding deadline of 5 January 2023. However, we highly recommend you review department webpages and course directory for information on funding that may be attached to a PhD course.
MD Degree	Medically qualified clinicians	Open all year round	Different deadlines throughout the year (see course prospectus).
Masters programmes within Departments of the Clinical School	All students	Early September	For all courses, the application closing date relates to the course start date, see the Course Directory here. If you would like to be considered for financial support and scholarships via the University of Cambridge, you must make sure your application is submitted by the University funding deadline of 5 January 2023.
GATES Cambridge	Applicants from countries outside the UK	15 September 2022	See this link for updated information on timelines. https://www.gatescambridge.org/apply/timeline/ For US citizens, the GATES deadline is 12 October 2022. All other funders (including GATES) for ALL other citizens is 1 December 2022 or 5 January 2023 depending on the course.
Doctoral Training Programme in Medical Research (DTP-MR)	All students	18 October 2022	2^nd December 2022 at 12noon (GMT)
The Cambridge Trust	All students	October 2022	See this link for updated information on timelines: https://www.cambridgetrust.org/scholarships/ If you are applying for graduate study, please check and apply by the funding deadline specific to your course. The deadline is the 5th January 2023. You do not need to apply to the Trust directly as an application for funding can be made as part of your application for admission to the University.
